Large sleeping area, additional living space and well thought out details. The ORYX Family roof tent is designed for those who need more room on the road.
The included annex extends your setup with a protected area beneath the tent. Suitable for storage, changing or as a sheltered space in bad weather. A closable opening provides direct access to the rear of the vehicle. The zip-in floor connects tightly to the walls and reduces drafts.
Two windows in the annex provide light and ventilation, while integrated mosquito nets keep insects out. The overhang above the ladder offers protection from wind, rain and unwanted views when entering the tent. The current stock also includes a Skyview window in the roof section, bringing more natural light into the tent and offering an open view above for a more spacious feel.
Setup is straightforward and can be completed within minutes. Windows and entrances on the tent are equipped with protective covers that improve weather resistance while allowing proper airflow.
An additional flysheet increases stability in windy conditions and reduces heat buildup in direct sunlight.
Inside, the generous sleeping area ensures a comfortable rest. The included mattress features memory foam that adapts to your body, ensuring even pressure distribution and improved sleeping comfort, even on longer trips. The mattress cover can be removed and washed when needed.
The telescopic aluminum ladder is adjustable for vehicle heights from 120 to 205 cm. When closed, the tent remains compact and has minimal impact on air resistance.

Mit Abstand das beste Dachzelt
Ich besitze es seit 5 Jahren und egal, welche anderen Dachzelte ich sehe, egal, welche besonderen Features dabei sind, sie können alle nicht mithalten.
Größter Vorteil, der Platz. Mit einer Liegefleche von 220×240cm findet man hier bequem mit 3 Personen Platz. Mit Kindern evtl sogar mit 4.
Des Weiteren habe ich keinerlei Undichte oder irgendwelche sonstigen Probleme feststellen können. Auch bei Starkregen oder Gewitter in Österreich hat das Zelt ohne Probleme standgehalten.
Einziges "Manko" für mich als Seitenschläfer war die Matratze zu dünn. Dies habe ich behoben durch zwei lagen an Mesch-Material, die ich mit M12 Schrauben und breiten Unterlegscheiben befestigt habe. Sehr überdimensioniert, aber funktionell.
Da das Zelt sich in der Mitte aufklappt und man es entsprechend wieder zuklappen muss, entsteht in meinem Fall ein kleines Problem. Die Füße der Leiter schlagen beim befestigen dieser (also wenn man sie einklappt, um die Abdeckung über das Dachzelt zu ziehen) immer auf die selbe Stelle, wo dann, da die Bodenplatte aus Aluminium ist, tiefere Dellen entstehen. Das hat bisher zu keinem Problem geführt und das Material ist intakt und nur eingedellt.
Sollten sie die selbe Methode wie ich verwenden und die Matratze mit Mesch zusätzlich zu Polstern, so sei gesagt, die Regenhaube wird dann sehr eng an den Ecken und daher schließt sich der Reißverschluss dort schlecht. Wenn man weiß wie, bekommt man dennoch alles problemlos eingepackt.
Die wären auch meine einzigen Verbesserungsvorschläge an die Hersteller:
1.Das Gegenstück zum Reißverschluss der Regenhaube, also der Stoff am Dachzelt, an dem der Reißverschluss für die Regenhaube befestigt ist, müsste nur so 2cm länger sein, dann wäre alles perfekt.
2. Dort, wo die Füße der Leiter aufliegen, wenn diese Zusammengeklappt ist müsste eine kleine Metallplatte angebracht werden, damit das Aluminium nicht eingedrückt wird.
3. Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, kosteten meine beiden Mesch-Unterlagen 190€ pro Stück. Diese sind je 2cm dick. Evtl, könnte man diese als Zusatzartikel ins Sortiment aufnehmen.
Ich behaupte ganz ehrlich, in meiner Zeit als Dachzelter und unter anderem auf Dachzeltfestivals kein einziges anders Dachzelt gesehen zu haben, gegen das ich meins eintauschen würde. Absolute Empfehlung, gibt nicht mehr Geld aus als nötig, Platz und Einfachheit beim Aufbau wie hier sind ungeschlagen.
