The carrier is hooked on the top of the door like the VW bike carrier. Then you have to drill two holes in the door skin under the window reveal to stabilize the carrier.

Depending on the wheel/tire combination, the tailgate may be subject to increased load. We therefore recommend reinforced tailgate struts and, if necessary, additional reinforcement in the carrier mounting area. Wheel bolts are not included in the scope of delivery.
