Extremly deep water crossings (e.g. on Iceland) are a challenge for drivers and vehicles.
It is not uncommon for low-lying components on the vehicle to need extra protection in such situations.
One of the parts to be protected is your camper's auxiliary heating. Often the pipe for the air intake of the auxiliary heater protrudes quite far downwards. If you drive through water for a long time, there is a risk that water can get into the combustion chamber of your auxiliary heating via the intake pipe.
To avoid this, we have developed the so-called "Island Kit" for the air intake of your parking heater, which solves the problem quickly and easily.
The kit contains everything you need to relocate the air intake by approx. 200 cm and to close it off at the same time.
This is necessary to maintain the existing negative pressure in the parking heater.
The stopcock is simply mounted in the upper area of the engine compartment using the bracket supplied and can thus be closed off in no time at all just before the water passes through.
The kit is made for all common intake pipes with a diameter of 24 - 25 mm. Particularly suitable for auxiliary heaters from Planar, Autoterm, Eberspächer and Webasto.
Set consisting of:
200 cm heat-resistant hose (with fabric insert)
1 stopcock
1 air filter
1 holder for stopcock
1 adapter piece for intake pipe
6 hose clamps
various small and assembly parts
ATTENTION: Never close the intake pipe while the heater is in operation! Danger of poisoning!
